Personal Statement
Tyler has a talent for understanding people and is keenly aware of issues that individuals and families face in today’s world. As director of Cedar Point Counseling he believes that strong marriages and family cohesiveness are at the core of happiness and understands how to navigate the challenges that pose a threat to contentment in marriage and family living.
He has extensive experience helping families through the difficult issues that confront them including; marital issues, addiction and family dynamics, trauma, and adolescent behavior problems. Tyler completed his graduate work at Utah State University in Marriage and Family therapy and is a certified DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) skills trainer. Tyler has also received specialized training in treating sexual addiction using the LifeSTAR model.
Tyler’s interests away from work include; fly-fishing, wakeboarding, and being in the mountains with his wife and 4 daughters.
