Personal Statement

I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist & Registered Addiction Specialist in private practice in Marin County, California. I work with adults, couples, teens, and families to learn new ways to address life’s challenges and live a more joyful and satisfying life.

As a therapist, I bring my education, life experience and clinical training to help guide our work. I combine these powerful tools with a willingness to suspend judgment, think creatively, and remain truly engaged to develop new perspectives and skills that move you toward creating the life you want.

Therapy can be hard work and takes courage. Everyone possesses his or her own unique blueprint. One size does not fit all – meaning I tailor my work with individuals, couples, and families to successfully attain short-term goals or craft long-range solutions by utilizing a variety of approaches matched to specific needs or expressed desires. I am not the kind of therapist that allows you to simply report on your week and nod my head and ask you how you feel. I am very active in session with my clients.
