    My Approach to Helping

My belief is that every person, couple and family is unique in their experience and issues. I customize my approach from a variety of disciplines, interventions and many therapeutic teachings to assist each in resolving those issues to allow one to move forward. I believe in providing unconditional support and and will collaborate with you to develop goals that will meet your needs and expectations of therapy. People have a variety of needs, some are looking for short-term, solution focused therapy to resolve a specific problem or issue. Others may be seeking more in-depth, long term therapy and support. I offer a safe place to work through and resolve your problems and concerns.

    More Info About My Practice

I offer EMDR to assist you in healing from and resolving issues that continue to create obstacles in your life, work and relationships. I have expertise in areas of trauma, anxiety and depression. I work with couples to resolve conflict and communicate more effectively to enhance the relationship. I am EMDR Certified and an EMDR Consultant.

*I offer Consultation to therapists wishing to become EMDR certified via phone or in person.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

Finding a therapist can be overwhelming. I suggest speaking on the phone initially with a couple of questions prepared to allow you to get a good sense of the therapist- you want to know if this person understands you, hears and listens to you, you want to get a sense that this therapist can assist you. I speak to potential clients about my approach to addressing their concerns. This will allow you to determine if that therapist’s style/modality sounds of interest to you, does it make sense to you, do you believe it can help you?
