Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Actually, this is a common fear for those who have never been in therapy before. The interesting thing is…it actually means the opposite. Yes, it’s true. Making an commitment to invest in working on yourself takes a great amount of courage and bravery and at the same time can help you become more of who you want to be. No one taught us or had us take a class on how to deal with difficult emotions, a crazy boss or big life decisionschanges. When it comes to your mental and emotional health, we hard to learn though trial and error. But here’s the thing….asking for help can help you get back on track, recover quicker, become more self aware and develop coping skills that stay with you moving forward. Remember, no one is an island. We all need help at times. Maybe it’s an doctor, financial planner, physical trainer or even a therapist.
