Personal Statement
Engaging in walking therapy is one of the best things you can do for your mental wellbeing because it changes your neurochemicals, mood, and your perspective about yourself and your life. Emotional or relationship skills are not something people inherently know. Investing and working on yourself with a professional improves your state of mind, mood, relationships, and overall quality of life. Walking therapy is the greatest gift you can give to yourself, your family, and your children. People who engage in walking therapy are proactive with their self-care, productive with their time, and desire to be their Best Self.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, older children, and small groups. I specialize working with issues related to: ADHD, Anxiety, Adoption, Relationship Issues, Depression, Weight Management, and Loss. I blend modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, gestalt with body-orientated strategies for cultivating mindfulness, happiness, and self-compassion.
In addition to my Best Self practice, I instruct a wide range of psycho-education groups such as Assertiveness, ADHD, Anger, Anxiety, Couples Communication, Depression, Mind-Body Stress Reduction, Sleep Better, Motivating Change, Weight Management, and Survive and Thrive Strength Training for Cancer Survivors at Kaiser Permanente. Be your Best!
