Personal Statement

Early life experience can often run your life without you knowing it. I can help you recognize and learn how to take control of the impact of your personal history and how it influences your perceptions, thoughts and feelings. You can learn to improve your mood and attitude by practicing the emotional skills that enable you to cope effectively. You can tame the chaos and enjoy life. Learn skills for change with counseling methods that have been studied and shown to work.

Since 1989 I have helped kids, couples, individuals, and families build and rebuild their relationships, take control of their emotions, overcome anger, grief, betrayal, self-harm, and depression and find a reason to enjoy life. My goal is to teach you how to put the power of tolerating strong emotions in your hands so that you are no longer ruled by negative thoughts and actions that may cause you pain or shame.
