I specialize in helping families, couples, and individuals deal with conflict, stress, and general discord in their lives. I utilize an open, honest, and relaxed style, and sessions are focused on a therapeutic framework that best suits you. I focus my work in OCD, anxiety, depression, grief, anger, relationship/family issues, abuse, addictions, drug abuse and pornography. My experience is based from 10 years in various psychotherapy inpatient and outpatient work.
My work experience was gained working over a 12 year span at outpatient mental health clinics, non-profit agencies, inpatient clinics/hospitals, schools, institutes and through a private practice. I helped open an OCD treatment center in Utah.
Most therapists want to talk about issues instead of actually do the work to help you recover. While talking can be helpful; I believe that using the proper therapy is important. For example, I use exposure and response prevention when working with OCD/Anxiety. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for generalized anxiety disorder. CBIT for tics and tourettes. I make sure the therapy used in sessions works best for you and your recovery.
