    My Approach to Helping

I work with young adults, children, adolescents, couples, families, and individuals. The adults with whom I work are smart and successful, but need help addressing one or two areas of their lives that aren’t working. I partner with these clients to help them shape better personal lives, careers, and relationships. The children, young adults, and adolescents we work with come from loving families who want to help their children be successful adults. I’m delighted to help my clients learn skills that help them navigate their current life stage, while preparing them for the next stage.

    More Info About My Practice

I work with people who feel like they’ve already tried everything, but who are brave enough to admit they need help. For example, I work with couples who wish to find joy in their relationship and stop blaming one another and parents who want to stop experiencing irritation and find ways to enjoy their children more.

Trying as hard as you can and not seeing progress is deeply frustrating. I help my clients learn new skills so that they don’t just work hard, but also see progress. My clients frequently tell me they wish they had come to therapy sooner!

Specific Issue(s) I’m Skilled at Helping With

I have spent hundreds of hours over the past ten years working with couples who feel like their relationship is ‘stuck’. In that time, I have been delighted to see couples get unstuck, develop new and helpful habits and learn to rediscover the joy of their relationship.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Being unsure about starting therapy is normal for everyone. It takes some courage to make a call, but in my experience, most people after a few sessions find themselves wishing they had started sooner and not waited so long. If you think, “maybe I should try this” chances are its time to make an appointment.

    Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Many people have tried ‘a little bit of therapy’. They may have had a few appointments and didn’t connect with the therapist, or understand what was going on. Just because you’ve had a bad experience does not mean therapy cannot be helpful. In fact, sometimes it takes a couple tries to find someone you connect with.
