    My Approach to Helping

Are you frequently bothered by memories that just won’t go away? When you face something new in life, are you worried you won’t be able to handle it? Do you beat yourself up over past mistakes? Are you feeling burnt out in your relationships? Many of us read self-help books, which are limited because they don’t fit our unique experiences.

With over 12 years’ experience, I work as a therapist and emotional coach. I help you discover your true self in order to live a more effective and satisfying life. I help you resolve past traumas so you can free yourself from fear and self-limiting beliefs. I help you find what you truly want to do in life, so you can experience real vitality and passion. I believe you were born with talents and skills to express your unique personality and to be the person you want to be. I use powerful but gentle techniques to help you reach your goals. I provide a warm, compassionate atmosphere in which you can build trust in yourself and find the emotional support you need. Together, we can find the path that will lead you to a more fulfilling, happy and peaceful life.
No one therapy fits all people. I use a holistic approach involving body, mind and spirit. My basic therapeutic orientation is humanistic, client-centered and strengths-based, with a strong emphasis on EMDR, somatic, and psychodynamic techniques.

Specific Issue(s) I’m Skilled at Helping With

We have two major modes of being in life: we either organize ourselves towards defense against judgment or attack; or towards growth, development and achievement of our talents, desires and our potential to feel peace, love and happiness. People who fear attack or judgment often had parents and caretakers in childhood who were too involved with their own emotional pain to provide adequate affection, attention and guidance when they needed it. People who do well in life and feel good about themselves have received adequate affection and attention from parents and caregivers in childhood. They usually have strong friendships and good relationships.
Unresolved emotional issues rooted in childhood are often the source of self-limiting, negative self-beliefs, anxiety, shame and depressed feelings. These issues often set up patterns of behavior that hamper people in their efforts to live a happy, effective and satisfying life. I help clients to look at these patterns and to decide what works for them and what doesn?t.
The good news is that I use powerful but gentle therapeutic approaches such as EMDR, the Emotional Freedom technique and sensorimotor approaches that include the body in order to help people change what doesn?t work for them and to gain a solid sense of themselves with a stronger sense of appreciation and acceptance for their unique personalities.
I am privileged to witness my clients develop a strong sense of themselves and their abilities, to li
