    My Approach to Helping

I work with adolescents, children, young adults, couples, families, and individuals. My adult clients are smart and successful, but determined to improve the one or two areas of their lives that aren’t working. I collaborate with my clients to help them build better personal lives and more satisfying relationships and careers. I work with adolescents, children, and young adults who come from eager families that want to help them be successful adults. I relish helping them learn new skills to help them navigate this life stage, even as we work together to prepare them for what’s next.

    More Info About My Practice

Change is possible. As I have spent thousands of hours working with people with all kinds of struggles, I have seen it with my own eyes. For the past 15 years it has been my pleasure to help my clients rediscover hope and find solutions that work for them. As a Marriage & Family Therapist, I am trained to see the big picture and to help you find ways to get out of your ?stuck system?. I work with people of all ages as they try and manage the ever changing challenges of life. Are you a couple looking to renew or repair your relationship? Parents looking for help with a child, adolescent or young adult? An individual trying to work out your future?

Specific Issue(s) I’m Skilled at Helping With

I have spent hours helping families learn how to help children struggling with anxiety, ADHD or school issues. Over the last ten years I have found that I deeply enjoy helping families navigate the process of diagnosis and development of goals that help them remember what they love most about each other.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

One of the biggest obstacles to starting therapy is the fear that it means, ‘there is something wrong with me’. In my experience, many people are afraid that the blame for struggles will fall all upon them. My first rule of treatment is not to waste time placing blame, but to start from day one looking for solutions and helping people get unstuck. Clients in my office are highly successful people, who are motivated to improve in all areas of life and are not afraid to seek help when necessary. My clients are some of the strongest, bravest people I know.
