Specific Issue(s) I’m Skilled at Helping With
One of the specific areas that I love to help people accomplish in their life is realizing that their life is their own! What in the world does that mean? It means that we often take on responsibility for others with whom we are in a relationship whether it be personal or professional. We attempt to read their minds and know what they are thinking or feeling, and then base our behavior on that misconception. Stress and anxiety often stems from our attempt to live more than our own life. If you are experiencing feelings of loneliness, anxiety (a call to action), stress (overwhelmed), please reach out – your life can be better!
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy can help you feel calmer, happier, and at peace with yourself. It is a process similar to peeling back the layers of an onion. You have something that happens in your life that triggers you to seek help. Once you reach out and begin the process and begin to trust your counselor with more information, your beliefs about yourself and how to interact with the world are revealed. Things that you may not have realized impact you now can finally be challenged and resolved, allowing you the freedom to make new choices about how to interact with others. Give yourself the gift of happiness, call for an appointment now!
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
The purpose of psychotherapy is to help you view yourself through a different filter or lens – one which is kinder and offers hope. There are always ways for us to improve our lives and the purpose of counseling is to help you achieve your goals for yourself. If you are unsure of your goals, it helps to define those goals. If you know what those goals are but not how to get there, counseling can help you develop specific steps to reach your goals.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love being a counselor because my clients change their lives! They allow me to be a brief part of their lives, trust me to share their deepest thoughts and feelings, and change their lives to achieve their own successes. It is an honor for me to serve others.
