We all experience unpleasant times and stressful situations in our lives. Sometimes, we need an objective and clear perspective to help us see why we are struggling and how to cope with our emotions. But crisis is not devastation, a point of no return. It is a time for renewal and change. The Chinese term for crisis is composed of two symbols: danger and opportunity. I strive to help clients and their families realize that this time of upheaval will reap growth and transformation. It is a privilege for me to be a part of this renewal.
I work mostly with children and adolescents, helping them and their families through difficult times. Not only do I counsel these young individuals as they traverse challenges, but I enjoy working with the entire family to address difficult interactions and promote healthy relationships.
All therapeutic services are customized to meet the needs of each individual and their familys dynamics. I have extensive experience with play therapy, family therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), couples counseling, and behavior modification. I also offer religion-based counseling if so desired.
