My Approach to Helping
To feel better and live the life you want, you need a space where it feels safe to discuss what troubles you. Good therapists listen without judgment, offering empathy, understanding, and insight. It’s normal to get stuck in self-destructive patterns that you can’t seem to get out of. It’s also normal and not uncommon to feel depressed or anxious in a world riddled with uncertainty, and to feel conflicted about your relationships, family, life, or work.
I am a highly trained therapist with over two decades of experience. My orientation is psychodynamic, which means I focus on helping my patients develop insight. I use a flexible, interactive approach to help you understand why and how you came to be who you are today. We explore what parts of you aren’t working so well for you anymore, then help you decide what parts you like and want to keep and what parts you might want to change. There is no magic in therapy, and change is hard, but with a commitment to the process, it’s possible to make significant strides in a reasonable period of time.
More Info About My Practice
I am not in-network with any insurance company, for several reasons, but primarily because they are often intrusive and request or even demand confidential notes. However, as a licensed practitioner I am often covered for out-of-network benefits to the extent your plan allows. So payment is initially out-of-pockets, and if you wish, I can offer you an invoice each month for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Billing and Insurance:
I don’t currently accept insurance, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to submit to an insurance company for “out of network” benefit coverage
Sliding Scale Available Clinicians who offer sliding scale payment structures may offer lower or reduced fees based on an individual’s ability to pay. Please contact this clinician for more details regarding their fees or sliding scale policy.
