There is a good reason you feel like you don’t measure up, that you worry about being judged or fitting in. We will learn what led to these feelings, but more than that, I will teach you how to give yourself the kind of unconditional care, compassion, forgiveness, and kindness you need to feel deeply and unshakably lovable. Because it’s not being good enough that makes us feel loved. It’s being loved that makes us feel good enough.
I know this from personal experience. I grew up in a dysfunctional family, and I thought that I had to earn love by being good, easy-going, pretty, and helpful. But in the real world, these behaviors just led to people-pleasing, codependence, and resentment. I’d had a lot of therapy, some of it pretty good. But in my 40s, I found a mentor who showed me how to give myself the unconditional love my family could not. That experience was a complete game changer – for me and my clients.
