    My Approach to Helping

When my father died in my early 20s, I knew it was time to find counseling. I’m so glad I did. Having an experience with a compassionate counselor who really got it helped me know I wasn’t alone. My passion now as a therapist is giving you that same experience. You don’t have to be alone — and you can even emerge stronger from the pain you’re in now. If you’re struggling with your self-esteem, identify as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), or are wanting to improve your relationship through couples counseling, we may be a good fit for each other. My goal is that when you leave my office after each session, you know you have a partner through this pain – someone who won’t judge you or leave you. Someone who can hold your vision for your life and will help you get there.

I charge $120 for 50 minutes. I accept cash, check and Square.

    How Psychotherapy Can Help

Oftentimes it can be difficult to truly appreciate your strengths. Maybe it’s even hard to know what they are. Psychotherapy can help you notice them, as well as the patterns within yourself that make them hard to see. It’s as if we need help holding a mirror up to our stronger, healthy, happy parts. Holding up that mirror is an honor and work I profoundly enjoy.

    Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Having a negative experience in therapy can be very traumatic. After all, a therapist is supposed to be helpful, compassionate, and understanding. As in any profession, there are practitioners who are more or less effective at their work. Yet, negative therapy experiences can help inform us of what we don’t want in a therapist – and this knowledge can be very helpful in searching for the right fit. A good fit between therapist and client is essential and I strongly encourage clients to be patient and persistent in their search for someone they feel truly understands them and wants to help.
