Personal Statement
I work with children, adolescents and teens facing anxiety and the struggle to balance school, social, and home life. I also work with college students regarding organization, executive functioning, and adjusting to new routine. I partner with many adults as they navigate the world of dating, moving away from home or to a new city, career changes, sexuality and gender exploration, questions of faith/spirituality, anxiety, depression, “perfectionism” and “people-pleasing.” I have also worked with helping professionals, such as nurses and teachers, who constantly pour out to others and struggle to prioritize self-care.
My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, with elements of CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy. We’ll partner together to process emotions, problem-solve, and develop new ways of thinking and coping. I aim to truly connect by learning with you and from you and/or your child, while providing tools and strategies to lead to realistic solutions.
Real, honest connection is my favorite thing about what I do every day. My personal and professional mission is to meet you wherever you are with empathy and authenticity and to problem-solve in a way that works for you. In searching for someone to share your story with, you are taking the first, and often most difficult step. Keep going.
