Personal Statement

I believe everyone has their own unique way of looking at the world. How we view ourselves and the world around us can impact our thoughts and actions. A guiding principle in my work as a therapist is to help individuals become more self-aware and accepting of themselves. Our focus will be on positive traits, behaviors and your ability to use your personal instincts to find wisdom, growth, healing and fulfillment within yourself.

I work from a person-centered therapy approach, where you can expect that you will be accepted for who you are, no matter what you are going through. I understand that the therapeutic relationship is essential for change to take place. Your experiences are the key to personal growth and development. It is important for me to provide you a safe, open and non-judgmental atmosphere where you can feel at ease sharing your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. I received training at a Community and Mental Health Clinic in Austin, where I provided one-on-one counseling to adults with a variety of concerns such as family dynamics, trauma, addiction, anxiety and stress, relationships, and life transitions.
