Personal Statement
Seeking help from others is often difficult, however I feel certain individuals are placed in our lives to help guide us through various issues and life transitions. As a mental health professional, I approach counseling from a way in which the client feels they are being listened to and validated. I enjoy working with individuals and families, often seeing parents, siblings, couples, or other individuals in the family. As a Christian, I also integrate my faith into sessions as well. I believe God called me to this profession to help others in working through either past or present stresses which affect lives daily.
I am a licensed counselor in Plano and I work within a private practice. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and master’s degree in Family & Consumer Sciences at Louisiana Tech University. I also completed a second master’s degree in Counseling at Dallas Baptist University.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and additional counseling methods, while incorporating my faith, providing counseling to individuals, adults, & families?. Throughout the past 12 years I have been working with families and children and would like to work with you. I am also a Certified Anger Management Specialist-I (CAMS-I) and provide anger management counseling to individuals of all ages. I am able to offer individual anger management help, including seeing those ordered by the judicial system.?
