Personal Statement

When you are overwhelmed by issues in your life, and they prevent you from maintaining health and happiness, it’s time to find a therapist that can guide you toward achieving your goals. Whether you’re struggling with relationship or personal issues, psychotherapy can help you to see your life from a different perspective. Once you become aware of behaviors and thoughts that plague your relationships and cause personal roadblocks, you will be able to work toward making positive changes.

It is difficult and undesirable to face our weaknesses and failures. But these aspects are important for insight and growth. The therapy I provide can help you to obtain a deeper understanding of your actions. You will learn the skills you’ll need to cope in difficult situations, how to break the cycle of negative habits, and how to identify the positives in your life to build upon your strengths.

I offer individual adults/adolescents, couples, and families psychotherapy, couples’ therapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), and psychoanalysis. I also work with young children and their parents. People see me for a range of issues, such as difficulties with parenting; addictive behaviors; sexual identity and sexuality; anxiety, depression, and bi-polar disorders; ADHD and learning difficulties; adoption and attachment problems; fulfilling career goals; coping with a recent or past trauma; and maintaining healthy relationships.
