As a clinician who specializes in helping clients with relational issues, I believe that when we experience communication challenges and conflict with people we care about most (partners, children, parents, siblings, friends, etc.), our individual quality of life suffers. It is hard to be happy when we find ourselves in relationships that are toxic, unequal/non-reciprocal, or strained. I believe in the healing power of relationships and have witnessed how repairing relationships with loved ones can bring joy, hope, and enrichment to ones life.
