    My Approach to Helping

INTERNET (Video-Chat), IN-OFFICE & PHONE SESSIONS AVAILABLE. Within 5 miles of Beverly Hills there are currently ONLY 10 Board-Certified Clinical Psychologists and Dr. Levine is one of them. Soon after arriving in LA in 2012 he became a Psychologist at the UCLA School of Medicine and opened a private practice in both Beverly Hills and at Cedars-Sinai Medical Tower. Dr Levine previously served as Chief of the Psychology Department at Mt. Sinai South Nassau Hospital in NY before moving to California. It is quite difficult to select a competent and experienced PSYCHOLOGIST from the listings of so many different types of “therapists,” “counselors” and “psychotherapists” (The term “psychotherapist”, by the way, is simply a general description of anyone who provides psychotherapy and is NOT the same as as a “Psychologist”). If you needed plastic surgery, you would probably select a surgeon who is “Board Certified” in plastic surgery. Likewise, The American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) is the professional group that reviews the credentials of and examines PSYCHOLOGISTS for competency before awarding Board Certification (the highest professional credential in clinical psychology) only to those who pass their rigorous credentials review and comprehensive written and oral examination. Look for the letters “ABPP” after a psychologist’s degree as evidence that they are indeed Board-Certified by ABPP. After earning a Ph.D. at Hofstra University in NY he completed a 2-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy at the prestigious Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia. Dr. Levine was also honored to be among a small and select group of doctors invited to serve on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Behavior Therapy & Experimental Psychiatry, one of the pre-eminent research journals in the field. Dr. Levine is licensed as a psychologist in California, New York and Hawaii.

    More Info About My Practice

Dr. Levine has also served as a Clinical Psychologist for the hit TV series “Hoarders” on the A & E Television Network and has more than 30 years experience as a clinical psychologist. He employs Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat a wide range of problems and issues. Dr. Levine also holds additional Board Certification in Biofeedback Therapy and can employ these methods as well if needed in cases of chronic pain, anxiety and panic. He has a significant concern about your confidentiality, privacy and security and as result, he will personally answer your phone calls. You will never be forced to speak with an unknown receptionist, answering service or secretary. He has private offices on Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills and at Cedars-Sinai Medical Tower on West 3rd Street in LA and both offices are comfortable and secure. However, he is currently seeing all patients via TELEHEALTH (Encrypted Video-Chat). You will find his approach to be caring, concerned and competent. He will help you file your PPO insurance forms for you to obtain insurance reimbursement. He accepts credit cards as payment and his flat fee is $250 per session. Feel free to call him or email him today. He will be glad to answer any questions you may have, directly and personally.
