Dr. Alyssa Austern is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Maryland who specializes in working with children and families. She received her Doctorate in Psychology at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva Universityand completed her pre-doctoral internship at Youth Consultation Services Institute for Infant and Preschool Mental Health. Her dissertation examined the relationships preschool children have with their teachers. She subsequently completed a post-doctoral fellowship working in public charter schools, performing behavioral support services, and conducting psychological evaluations.
Dr. Austern has an extensive clinical background, having worked in settings such as community mental health centers, therapeutic nurseries, adolescent residential treatment centers, and outpatient private practices. She creates a supportive environment and customizes treatment based on each childs unique needs
