    My Approach to Helping

    Do you need help with those important relationships in your life? Are you or a loved one struggling with addiction issues? How about help solving problems with your child or adolescent? Are you struggling with intimacy issues perhaps relating to the after effects of an affair? Is pornography destroying your marriage and family? Do you need help with the challenges of blending a family? I utilize techniques for increasing communication skills, improving self esteem and maintaining quality relationships?
    My clinical experience includes working with adults, adolescents, families and couples. I have experience with anger issues, depression, anxiety, and domestic violence. As a Registered Nurse with 40 years experience I consider each client’s unique physical and medical health issues. I utilize a Strengths-Based Perspective and Solution Focused Therapy.I offer Skyping sessions from the privacy of your home or office.
    I offer group sessions for survivors of domestic violence or incest. I also offer a grief support group to help those dealing with losses, and teach coping skills you can use when processig your grief losses.

    I am licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kansas and Missouri. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, a member of the National Association for Social Workers, member of The Grief Support Network and the North American Association of Christians in Social Work.

    In order for therapy to be successful there must be a strong connection between the therapist and client. The client must feel validated and understood by the therapist. I share with my clients that I want them to feel relaxed and progressing in sessions. We mutually work on goals that are important to each client.
