    My Approach to Helping

    Are you satisfied with the way your life is going? Do you focus on the past and have a hard time moving forward? Having many years of experience helping children and families to move forward and let go of the issues that caused the dysfunction. My goal is to help parents and their children to improve coping skills and increase communication. Have had great success helping blended families to adjust to the new relationships, and develop healthy bonds. Help couples resolve the barriers they face to increase their relationship and to move forward.

    My goal is to you learn to not be resentful about the past and to move forward and focus on the present. Further this increases the chances of having a better future. Have helped clients to replace self defeating actions and feelings with increased coping and self esteem. Use proven solution focused therapy techniques to help you reach your maximum potential.

    Provide new solutions to difficult problems you face and will point you in the right direction. Using a calm and respectful approach, to help clients feel comfortable talking to me because they do not feel like they are being judged.

    Accept most insurances including: BCBS, BCN, MHN-Tricare, Military Source One, Medicare, Cigna, Priority, Aetna, Value Options, several Medicaid’s and EAP’s.
    Offer daytime and evening appointments during the week as well as daytime hours on Saturday.

My goal is to help your family to learn new solutions to everyday issues you face. There is no doubt, that acting out behaviors with your children will lesson. It also helps children to be more responsible for their behavior and increases your families self esteem level. Have great success helping clients increase their coping skills and self esteem level. Further, to help manage depression, anxiety and other emotional issues.

    My philosophy is to an supportive approach to therapy by providing a safe relaxed environment to help clients discuss feelings and concerns. My goal is to provide encouragement to help you improve you functioning and learn new ways to cope with stress, anxiety and emotional issues. Further, to support your efforts to change old behavior patterns and develop new ones and increase your coping skills.

    My guiding principal in working as a therapist is providing courtesy and respect to the clients that I work with. Treating others the same way I like to be treated in a relationship. Helping clients to feel supported in their decision to attend therapy. Admitting that you need assistance to make changes in your life to succeed can be very scary. If the therapist is supportive it will not doubt make this decision easier. Helping you understand that they are not being judged will also help the client feel open to discuss feelings and concerns.
