My Approach to Helping
Are you looking for therapy that is less talk and more action? Would you like to learn what you can do about the problems you’re facing, rather than just talk about them?
Are you also uncomfortable with taking medications to control your symptoms? Would you like to learn how to manage your symptoms through skills, rather than pills?
If so, I can show you how to be your own therapist using research-based, drug-free techniques. These tools can help you overcome depression, anxiety, stress, and relationship problems.
I have practiced in the Las Vegas Valley for 18 years. I have helped thousands of people get on the road to recovery, and I would be happy to make you the next one. I would also like to be the last therapist you ever need to see.
Are you ready to get started? If so, don’t hesitate to contact me for a free 15-minute consultation today.
More Info About My Practice
I am an out-of-network provider for most insurance companies. If I am not in your insurance network, I would be happy to provide you with a statement after each session that you can use to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.
Most of the people I work with report significant improvement within 6-10 sessions, especially if they are willing to do homework for 15 to 30 minutes a day between sessions.
See my website for more information about the services I provide.
My Role as a Therapist
I see my role as providing a safe environment to help you feel comfortable opening up about the challenges you are facing, support you in your struggles, and to teach you the most effective set of tools to help you overcome the challenges you’re facing – so that you can eventually become your own therapist.
If this sounds like the approach that you’re looking for to address your current circumstances, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work
I am a cognitive-behavioral therapist who has been influenced by the work of David Burns, M.D. – the author of Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy and many other self-help books.
Along with Dr. Burns, I believe more in “tools” of therapy as opposed to “schools” of therapy. There is no single approach that works for everyone. Each person’s circumstances are unique, and each person requires a customized solution.
As such, rather than try to fit my client’s problems into a pre-determined framework, I seek to mold my approach to each client’s unique situation and goals for counseling.
