Personal Statement

I believe that counseling is, at its core, a trusting relationship that is built on truth, courage, and communication. I fundamentally believe that our experiences shape who we are and what we believe. I also believe that each person has an individual experience with the world around them and this has its benefits, limitations, and prejudices that are challenging to overcome.

These challenges can lead to blocks or barriers within ourselves that keep us from fully living out our lives from an authentic place. These challenges show up in our personal lives and our professional lives and can be challenging to overcome without help and support. Mental health and wellness starts with you and the choices you make each day for yourself.

Counseling is a tool we can use to learn how to address and work through challenges as they arise throughout our lives. Career Counseling is a tool we use to help us make sense of our values, skills, personality and interests in the world of work. I offer mental health and career counseling services for individuals, couples and families to continue the journey of self-exploration and discovery that leads to a full, enriched and engaged life.
