Personal Statement

There are many reasons that people seek help. For some, there can be a single event that suddenly makes them realize that having someone with them on their journey might be able to help things out. For others, it is a gnawing feeling that there is something more that would bring them peace and a sense of wholeness. For even others, they have gone down bad paths in the past and desire to not repeat the same journey again. Whatever your reason for seeking help, it is possible to find peace and wholeness in your life.

Christopher utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches. These approaches are brought together in different ways depending on the person or people that he is working with. The root of his therapeutic style incorporates spiritual dimensions of both the problem(s) and the ways to move forward into the counseling or therapy that is engaged in. He is experienced working with people from a wide variety of faith backgrounds. His approach is also usually rooted in a systems understanding of the client’s situation. He can draw upon the techniques used by many who are licensed in mental health counseling or in marriage and family therapy.

In addition to Christopher, there are other clinicians that also practice in the West Bronx office. They have a variety of experiences as well as areas that they specialize in. While Christopher is only in this office on Tuesdays, there are other clinicians under his direction available on the other days of the week. Clinicians include daytime and evening times as well as weekend hours to try and fit different schedules. We want to make it easy for you to take your next important step towards health, peace and wholeness which is connecting with a therapist or counselor that you can trust to have with you on this journey.
