Personal Statement
You may be seeking support in dealing with a variety of life issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship stress, or life transitions. You may need support in learning to quiet the negative voices, move out of stuck-ness, deal with different types of emotions, find patterns that you want to break, or get help connecting with where you find meaning and healing. The issues we experience in our relationships and personal lives can be viewed as invitations to look more deeply within ourselves. Psyche = soul. Psychotherapy can be viewed as a caring for the soul and a journey together.
I live and work primarily from a depth psychological and Jungian perspective, meaning that we are addressing the symptoms but also taking into account what is under the surface, what is not yet known, and what is not being said. I also bring 18 years of working in medicine with acute & chronic illness into my practice as a counselor.
Therapy can include exploring the current issues, increasing resilience and coping skills, and learning to move with the tide rather than against it. The process may include dreamwork, connecting your experience to archetypal patterns, or increasing the awareness of how experiences are held in the body.
