    My Approach to Helping

Most of my clients report feeling “stuck” in one way or another. If you are struggling – to connect with the people who matter most, to communicate with your partner in an effective way, to show up authentically with friends and co-workers, making a big decision about the future of your relationship or career, or adjusting to a new life phase – please reach out.

My background is in Marriage and Family Therapy, so I look at every situation through a relational and contextual lens whether I’m working with an individual, a couple, or a family. I focus on patterns of behavior and resulting cycles of interaction. My approach is strength-based, compassionate, humorous, and goal oriented. I treat a wide range of issues including marital conflict, anxiety, depression, stress and overwhelm, and addiction.

    More Info About My Practice

I offer reduced fee slots based on need and availability, and also work with Victim’s Compensation.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love being invited into peoples’ lives, hearing their stories, and collaborating with families and individuals to deepen and strengthen relationships – with each other and within themselves.

    My Role as a Therapist

My role as therapist is to help the client (whether an individual, a couple, or a family) identify their strengths, set goals, and make changes. It is not my job to make judgements or decide which changes a client should make. Therapy should be helpful, and I work closely with my clients to ensure that it is. I think of myself as a resource to clients – I’m here to help, and I work for you!

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I have learned through my own struggles and growth that everyone struggles but not everyone grows, things can happen in life that you can not control and you never imagined yourself going through, and that there are always choices. I believe that by living life and continuing to struggle and grow, I understand that changing is difficult and that it is a process. Making changes and improvements in relationships takes time, commitment, and intentionality.
