Personal Statement

Sometimes we feel like nobody understands us. We bottle up our feelings and suffer quietly, or we become anxious, angry or depressed. As your therapist, I will provide a warm, caring environment, where you can speak your mind without being judged. I have experience working with adults, adolescents and children. My goal is to partner with clients to help them understand the power that they have to gain control over their lives. I work with individuals struggling with a variety of issues including anxiety/panic attacks, insomnia, parenting challenges, low self-esteem and relationship problems.

In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am also a Board Certified Life Coach. If you are going through a life transition, such as changing jobs, considering retirement, or trying to balance family, work and your social life, you can benefit from coaching.

Life is not what happens to us, but how we view it and choose to confront challenges. I tailor my approach to individual clients, using a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology and Psychotherapy, as well as Life Coaching.
