My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

The potential of psychotherapy is immense with goals varying by individual. These goals could include gaining valuable insight and finding ways to cope with your daily struggles and relationships with others. Goals may also include changing your reactions and behaviors to those situations around you that are unchangeable. Some form of guidance and support is often necessary to help us see the bigger picture, free from our own emotional constraints. Psychotherapy helps us to be able to live life to our full potentials, separated from issues that cause pain. Finding the right therapist sometimes takes time but it can be a means to a greater contentment and an enhanced sense of oneself. Keep in mind that you are not alone and help is always available.

    Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The client-therapist relationship is the most important part of any therapy. It is my promise to you to provide a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you are able to explore and further understand difficult feelings and also talk honestly about the therapeutic process. I always welcome your feedback and work with you to create goals.
