My Approach to Helping
My approach is to help you work through the pain in your life to become a healthy, secure and happier person. I provide telehealth (phone and video sessions) and in person counseling. I take some insurance and EAP plans. I work on developing self soothing and self esteem skills to help you navigate through difficult issues and relationships. I offer supportive listening and feedback and together we work towards developing better problem solving skills My therapy technique focuses on helping you to reduce the negative thoughts that surround you and create healthier options and choices. I specialize in individual counseling and assistance towards being able to help you negotiate through difficult decisions without losing yourself in the process. I use the tools of: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Awareness, Psychodynamic therapy (childhood issues) and Dialetical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we define helpful boundaries with others, setting new directions and goals towards self improvement. I provide lots of feedback, treatment plans and easy to learn CBT and ACT exercises. Increasing self awareness to achieve happiness. “I love what I do!”
