    My Approach to Helping

First and foremost I provide a warm, non-judgmental and supportive environment for healing. It is vital in my work that I create a safe space for my clients to explore and experience new possibilities and ways of being.

I believe our earliest relationships with our families and primary caregivers have great influence on the way we experience relationships today. I believe by gaining insight to our past, we can create more choice in our present and future. I also think that therapy should also provide practical tools for relationships, communication and daily life, in addition to in depth exploration and introspection and provide this to my clients as well.

    More Info About My Practice

My fees range from $100-150 for individual clients and $175-200 for couples per session. I also offer discounted rates for clients with daytime sessions. I do not accept insurance directly, but if your insurance company provides out of network benefits I can provide a receipt for insurance reimbursement.

Specific Issue(s) I’m Skilled at Helping With

Anger, anxiety, panic attacks, and trauma recovery. I have a series of eclectic methods and tools that I find incredibly effective for assisting clients. I also love working with HSPs (Highly Sensitive People), and am certified as an HSP knowledgeable therapist. I also have a special interest in working with Highly Sensitive Men, as I feel they are a greatly underserved population.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

There is still an unfortunate stigma that individuals that attend therapy are “crazy” and should feel ashamed for seeking help, I feel in reality that this is certainly not the case. Having awareness that you need assistance is actually a sign of mental health, and is a fantastic first step to improving your situation and your life. I also think it is important to add that therapy is confidential except for certain circumstances (basically if you are planning to hurt yourself or others). Clients sometimes feel they are obligated to tell their friends and family they are in therapy, or feel they are betraying them if they are discussed in therapy.
