My Approach to Helping
You may be deciding to talk with a therapist because of struggles that don’t seem to resolve, feelings of failure, shame or anxiety. These are difficulties that I have treated over the years and have seen substantial improvement in those I’ve worked with. I believe in providing a therapy approach that gets to the bottom of what is upsetting you and interfering with you having a satisfying life. Often we are our own worst critic. I will explore with you how we get in our own way and undermine ourselves, with the goal of building confidence in your sense of self that you can take out into the world.
More Info About My Practice
In the therapy process, developing a sense of trust with a therapist takes time but it is an essential part of what makes therapy work. This is so that you can feel free to talk and think about your relationships and your own emotions and reactions. In time through this process, the goal is for you to come to feel understood and to ultimately understand yourself deeply – which is the essence of self acceptance and being “comfortable in one’s own skin.”

I don’t currently accept insurance, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to submit to an insurance company for “out of network” benefit coverage
